On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Corporatedge voices out the raw emotions of children for #TheOriginalIcon of the human race, the one true MVP – Mothers. The campaign explores the nuances of the relationship between children and their mothers through an emotionally charged video. It showcases how children always pretend to personify their mothers during the nascent stages of their childhood – looking at themselves in the mirror while wearing their mother’s jewellery and trying on her makeup products. The memories are abundant yet, we seem to overlook the fact that our mothers are our original icon when it comes to fashion statements or our love for that favourite meal only our mothers can ace.
Although the campaign gives a sense of nostalgia, it simultaneously aims to bring to life the sacrifices made by mothers to extend the chance of helping her children explore their dreams. Similar to the inception story and aim of Corporatedge to promote women’s empowerment, the campaign aims to bring to light the loss of personal dreams and ambitions that come with motherhood for many women.
